First Handgun

Just got my first handgun ;) - a Ruger SP101 357 with CrimsonTrace Lazer. Not too big- Not too small. Built like a tank. Really enjoying the lazer to practice and check aiming while watching TV. Can't wait for my carry permit but will probably be waiting for about 4 months from what I understand.

I have a Ruger Police Service Six in .357. I love it! You are going to really get attached that that gun.

What state are you in? Seems like a 4 month wait is long. It only took 2 weeks here in PA.

The SP-101 is a great revolver. Good choice in a wheel-gun. Just a thought though.... I have a friend who not only practiced aiming in front of the TV, but practiced his trigger pull as well. Cost him a $1300.00 Plasma, almost cost him his girlfriends dog, and could have been allot worst. Always assume your gun is loaded, and never have ammo in the same room when you are doing such things.
